Description
The Courga was a predator spices on the alien planet, Eronel. The planet was was tidally locked and all life would live in the habitable twilight region. The Courga had two sets of eyes, one for the visual spectrum, one for the infer red.

In 2008, I worked as a researcher on the History Channel series, The Universe. The episode, "Alien Faces" was a program about the possible xenobiology on distant exoplanets, and in addition to my researcher duties, I was also able to develop concept art for possible alien species that might inhabit these alien worlds. David Aguilar was one of the primary experts on the episode, and gave detailed descriptions about a few fictional, but theoretically plausible exoplanets, and the lifeforms that one might imagine evolving there.

This was one of the concept sheets I drew based on his alien descriptions, which the graphics department later adapted into 3-D animation.
