Yes, it is intended to transform into "Storm Attacker" mode. I'm waiting on the completion of the VF-77C/D commission before I post it up here.

They are intended to serve dual space/terrestrial atmospheric environments. Also, it was given by me as creative liberty to the commissioned artist to come up with what was appropriate. The original SDF Macross also had an amphibious aircraft carrier attached to it, which had to be modified for its VF compliment.
