The enigmatic head of the Circle of Vader and the Empire of the Grip, the current Mask of Vader has held the title for nearly twelve standard years, and does not appear that he will relinquish it at any point in the foreseeable future. He has received only one challenge to his reign… and that individual continues to float around a dying star, encased in carbonite.
Little is known about him, even by the other Circle members; by the time he defeated the previous title holder, he was already fully-encased in black, with voice modulation and donning a sinister helmet with a design inspired by the very roots of Empire of the Grip itself. It is known that he has seen much of the outside of the galaxy, either through wandering and/or military experience. He is also a master combatant and accomplished tactician, sparking rumors that the Mask had either served in the Imperial Army… or more likely, as an Agent of the Circle. Like the other members of the Circle, the Mask is strong in the Force with a wide array of powers and abilities. He is perhaps the finest lightsaber combatant alive; the presence of an ancient forcesaber on his belt suggests he has dueled a far superior opponent in the past, as of the likelihood of merely finding one intact in this age is next to nil.
The current machinations of the Grip’s destabilization campaign of the galactic powers was put into motion by the Mask, believing that the Grip can capitalize on the current cold war between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance of Outer Rim Worlds. He sees the current state of the galaxy as a pressure cooker ready to explode, and the time of its hubris is swiftly approaching.

Long time fan of Star Wars here and I saw this and I NEED to talk about it!
Okay! Here we go... Your vision on this thing is great! I love the new and reinvented look! I'd HATE to see this replace Vader in a remake of the originals, but if this was something more of a follower of the legend of Vader, if his life spawned believers and followers, I could easily see this being one of them!
The originality is good but it's still Vader we're talking about here, or at least a Vader follower. So it's still inspired by another artist's design and you didn't stray too far for it's origins... And I don't think you should have either!

As I scrolled down the critiqueable page on dA I saw this. I knew what I was looking at the moment I saw it. VADER! So I clicked on it and it was actually VADER 2.0!! You'll understand if I still pick the original over yours but damn good work on this one! You deserve a lot more attention than you're getting!

First off, I'd like to point you in the direction of the artist I commissioned for this piece, Jason C'hng (doghateburger.deviantart.com ). He was entirely responsible for the artwork of this piece, and I highly encourage that you explore his other works. He does not disappoint!
Next, is that the Mask of Vader was intended to take inspiration from Darth Vader specifically; in my Destiny Era setting, the Sith are essentially extinct, the Empire turned mostly benevolent, leaving only rebel movements in the Outer Rim exacting conflict against the current Empire. It seemed fitting that an outside threat would capitalize on that, and why not an unknown, evolved descendent of the old Empire?

A bit of a spoiler to "The Last Jedi", but the way that Snoke and Kylo Ren talk about Vader in the movie, I couldn't help but think that Vader has now ascended to a legacy all of his own, surpassing even the Sith and Darth Bane's Legacy of the Rule of Two in the movie, and I couldn't help but think of your character because of this.
