Day 139 of my 2016-a drawing every day resolution. Drawn on a 9" x 12" ampersand clayboard in about 90 minutes using inks and acrylics. Today for the first time I realized that acrylics work better for me when I use it on clayboard instead of canvas - must be the smooth surface.

Are these nature scenes ones you think up or do you have reference?

Some of them I draw from imagination and some of them I get inspired by a picture. For the ones I don't give credit for the reference, it is usually because it ends up nothing like the reference picture.

It's very fun watching you play with new medium and learn them. Β This is beautiful, I love the water and the gentle reflections. Β The water and the sky are so SMOOTH (I mean how the colors blend so perfectly)

Thanks! I got that smoothness from airbrush. I still don't know how to do that with a regular paint brush.
