Day 140 of my 2016-a drawing every day resolution. Drawn on a 9" x 12" ampersand clayboard in about 2.5 hours using inks and acrylics.

This one came out really nicely! I especially like the perception of depth in this one, particularly the way the path was shaded and how the grass/bushes and trees overlap.

So for these nature scenes, do you scratch out the details and such first? Or do you paint and no scratching?

Thanks! This one had very little scratching. Most of it was just painting. Most of my recent landscapes are just paintings.
