Day 63 of my 2016-a drawing every day resolution. Drawn on a 8" x 10" ampersand scratchboard in about 90 minutes. Scratched using fiberglass brush and art knife and colored using inks.ΒReference picture by Matt HoskinsΒ Enclosed

I am surprised how everyone likes it when I do a close up of eyes. It is not difficult or challenging, but everyone is drawn to eyes as if by a magnet.

Love your work. Is there any particular brand of scratchboard you recommend?

I have only tried Ampersand scratchboards and I love them. I have heard essdee is pretty good as well. But Ampersand is easily available in the US.

The reflection on the eye looks great! This draw everyday challenge is so ambitious but you're doing an awesome job. Keep it up!
