Where was this one in the show? This is the towns local party DJ Vinal Scratch. This one took the Longest to finish cause like the Twilight Sparkle pic, I had to use two art programs to get the lighting just right.ΒI'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that She and Pinkie Pie are best friends and she provides the music to the town? Hyper? am I close here?

Well, Pinkie can summon her at will (like at the wedding and when she needed backing beats for a rap song) and she was seen just randomly hanging around Sugar Cube Corner.

She's a background character who's rather popular with fans. Β However, her few major appearances imply a close friendship with Pinkie and possibly with Rarity (Or at least a working relationship with the later)

To answer your question, DJ P0n-3 also known as Vinyl Scratch first shows up during the episode "Suited for Success" for less than 10 seconds and despite such little screentime and her lack of speaking lines, she almost immediately became ridiculously popular in the fandom due to her unique design (perhaps even rivaling "Derpy Hooves," a cross-eyed gray pegasus mare that showed up in the background of a crowed scene in the first episode).  Vinyl Scratch has since made other brief cameo's in two other episodes (season 2 finale "A Canterlot Wedding - Part 2" and season 3 finale "Magical Mystery Cure") as well as an appearance during the "My Little Pony: Equestria Girls" movie (in which Twilight Sparkle travels through a magic mirror to an alternate universe where everypony is human and in highschool to recover her stolen Element of Magic crown from an evil former student of Princess Celestia) and ends up getting an awesome music video (see here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qh7j1q⦠).  In the fandom, she has a inspired a ridiculous amount of high-quality fan art, fan fictions, fan videos, fan musics, and even a meme or two.  In said fan-works, she is often paired with fellow background musician Octavia Melody, a grey-furred and raven-haired earth pony cellist (or double-bass player; there's a bit of a debate regarding what her instrument is) as a comedic foil and common romantic interest (one of those "opposites attracts" deals, what with Vinyl being a loud, hard-partying, ill-mannered disc-jockey and Octavia being a well-groomed, prim and proper, high-society classical musician).

This one's actually a bit strange because she's gained a large fan following despite only appearing in the background in most of her appearances and having no lines at all (IIRC). She's the show's resident DJ but she doesn't do much else.

Although DJ Vinyl Stratch is a minor background character, she does appear often enough to hint that she is a compatriot of Pinkie Pie, as the former is almost always DJ-ing her events. And thsi is probably the best of your humanized ponies.

DJ-P0N3/Vinyl Scratch made a small appearance in the show, but gained several fans much like the controversial and beloved Derpy Hooves/Ditsy Doo.Β Though some might not care, she is usually paired with her polar opposite of refinement Octavia.Β Vinyl's appearance was in the fashion show episode, episode name escapes me at the moment, and Octavia appeared in the Grand Galloping Gala episode.Β

She's A Background Pony In A Later Ep. She Was Named DJ-Pon3 By The Fans,It Was Made Cannon And Now Dj-Pon3 Is Her Stage Name While Vinal Scratch Is Her Real Name.

Vynil was in the show a few times in the background (as just a background character). But she was performing in "Art of the Dress" (season 1) towards the end for, oddly, Rarity's fashion show. She was also at very end of "A Canterlot Wedding, Part 2" as the DJ for the newlyweds before Twilight hijacks it.

She's a background character. She appeared in episode 16 of season 1 and had few more cameos in later seasons.
It's... kind of implied she knows Pinkie in the season 2 finale. But other than that, not much is known about her actually.
But as for her personality, we don't know canonically at the moment.
But she's most likely to be a music junky that's into dubstep and techno.

Not even close buddy. Vinyl Β Scratch is a background pony (meaning she's only ever in the background with maybe one or two close-ups on occasion). Surprised you got Vinyl over Derpy (the general all-time favorite "Where's Waldo" background pony). But Vinyl is pretty bad-ass.

actually, she's not much more than a background character. she had all of ONE appearance in the first season, using magic to put a record on her turntable while nodding her head to the music, and fans just went nuts with it. half the popular "characters" are nothing more than fans seeing a really cool background design and coming up with stuff on their own, which the creators sometimes make official later.

You're getting there in knowing the characters. Vinyl Sratch, AKA DJ-PON3 is a one of the background 6 of the show. Supposedly she's also Octavia's roomie in the fandom. One thing that's agreed upon is that she loves dubstep.
