Here is my contribution to the whole Pirates vs Ninja fad that is going on...It looks like Kasumi and Mai just can't seem to figure out why Ninja are far superior to Pirates and explaining that to their friend May...
Can you give the two girls a good reason why Ninja have the upper hand over Pirate?

Well, you have to be specially trained to become a ninja, but anybody with a superiority complex and a love of inflicting pain can be a pirate! Yaaarrr!

Now mind you, Pirates are cool with me...but next to Bridget, May is my LEAST favorite character in GG...another example Samurai Showdown..least favorite character..Rimoruru..

I should have researched the Bridget character before posting my last comment (I also should have mentioned I never played any of the other GGs after the Dreamcast one) I'll check out the Xbox version of the game when I can get a chance. Plus, It was never my intention to come off like a wet blanket earlier. I apologize.
Now, Returning to the subject bouncing ninja: Seem like Taki is all but forgotten! Not many ninja got the 'bounce to the ounce' and the boobage going on!

Actually, Bridget DOES have a problem with his life of transvestism. That's the reason he chose to become a bounty hunter (and why he's in a fighting game)... to prove his manhood. Of course, after pretending to be a girl all his life, that might be a tall order after all.

But returning to the subject of fighting games-- May was a 'cheap', but still capable character. As for her being a little girl, l remembered her being older in appearance from the original artwork of the character by Arc Systems. Again, YMMV. Though Faust always been my fav on my character rotation list in GG.
I've been out of the loop on a lot of fighting games since Soul Caliber II, but for pirates (via proxy), I will have to pick Ivy of Soul Caliber, If you remember her in her pirate get-up in #2, you see why. Though her original costume still ranks high in my books. Ivy may not be as chesty as Mai or Katsumi but she has a great set of legs!

I know of a different version of this - It's actually Pirate, Ninja, Cowboy. Works on the same principle as Rock, paper, scissors:
Cowboy beats Ninja
Ninja beats Pirate
Pirate beats Cowboy
