Thanks for the quick response. I've found linearxy, linearxz and linearyz and your script now runs with no errors, however it produces flames that are only just viewable to the human eye .... I'll try to get around this.

For those who think this is an April Fool's joke,
It didin't work too well for me with clear flame but works great using the overlay on a pre-existing flame, don't forget to change the pitch setting too.

With the clear flame you have to add another transform to the flame before anything really comes up
