I love the saddle!!! i will have to make one for my toothless that im working on. (the one on devaiantart sucks cause i had to hand sew it.) im making a new one out of this velvety stuff cause i got a new sewing maciene ibroke the other one

awesome! (just to make a point, the saddle in the film is more of an oval shape. Do some studying if you wanna make it look more realistic)
Send some pics with a link when you finish! (something else to consider, if your Toothless is gonna be big, u can use a belt buckle on the neck and belly straps to make it look cooler )

Mmm... If I have enough money left from making Toothless this summer, I might make this too. I might do the red tail wing prosthetc too since I've had the materials for a while. Thanks for the tutorial.

What fabric did you use? the fabric I have feels like a flag.

I just used felt, but depending on how thick your material is, it may or may look as good. Although thinner material is much easier to work with, you don't want it to fray or rip.
