Description “Oh, I don’t trust my money in any of the banks in Tao. Especially from the merchants guild.” Hearth said as she walked.

Team Trample and Team Rowanberry had made quite some distance now to the place that Jasmine had directed them. Every so often they would come across a team or two that were busy at work, but none of them was the team they were looking for. Hearth and Opal hung closer to the back of the group discussing amongst themselves.

“Don’t banks usually have safes or something?” Opal asked. “Sure you have to trust them in the hands of someone else. But it’s how they do their business. If they tried to steal others money, they risk losing business. That, and the money is generally pretty safe when they’re locked behind about a foot of steel.”

“That’s true,” Hearth replied. “But I also managed to get a safe of my own as well.”

“Really,” Opal said. “Safes don’t exactly grow on trees ya know. How did you get your hooves on one?”

“It was pretty lucky actually,” Hearth said with a grin. “About a year ago the merchants were replacing the one they already had for a newer bigger one. You see, it was about a year ago that all these teams started springing up all over the place. And they didn’t have space in their old vault to accommodate for it. They were about to throw it out believe it or now. But I managed to convince them to take it over to my base.”

“That must have taken some persuasion. You know, before I met you I thought that pretty much everyone in this guild was just completely incompetent at handling money. Good to know that there are some rescuers who are not like that.”

“They seem far and few between sometimes. Chill was also pretty good at handling money too.” Hearth said. Their conversation, though, was ended there when there was a shout from the front of the group.

“Hey!” Myra said. “I think that’s the team we’re looking for, over there!”

Ahead of them, a fair distance from the path was an Eevee, a Riolu a Misdreavus, a Timburr and a Phanphy, just as Jasmine had described. It seemed that several other teams had joined them too. “Excuse me, would you by any chance be the teams that Jasmine sent out here?” Chloe asked once they arrived. Both the Eevee and the Timburr stepped forward.

“Yeah! Wow, you guys brought a lot!” The Eevee said. “Oh, we’re Team Fortune!”

“And we’re Team Bricklayers!” the Timburr said. “Well, now that everything’s here, lets get started! So far we’ve cleaned this area up a bit. Now we need to get to digging holes for the plants.”

The process of unloading the teams didn’t take as long as loading them. In no time Team Trample and Team Rowanberry were ready to get to work.

“Alright,” the Eevee said. She had earlier introduced herself as Lily. “Over here they wanted us to plant several trees, so we’ll be needing large holes. And over here they wanted us to plant flowers.”

“Sounds good!” Anther said. “I’ll help with the big holes. Just show me where to get started!”

“Well, I guess I’ll show you where to start,” The Timburr, who introduced herself as Helga said. “Right here. But… how are you going to do it?”

“Just watch.” Anther wasted no time. He raised himself onto his hind legs to gain momentum. Once he was as high as he could go, he thrust his front legs downwards and stomped onto the ground. For a moment, his body was surrounded by small brown lights. At the same time a large mass of soil was shot out of the ground, leaving a rather nice circular hole.”

“Oh I see. You know dig! That’s very handy!” Helga said, clapping with approval.

“Well, I used dig,” Anther corrected her. “But I don’t actually know it. I used nature power just now. So where do you want the next hole?”

Meanwhile, while Anther was busy digging holes, Hearth and Team Rowanberry were facing a bit of a challenging situation.

“So um… anyone know any ground type moves?” Chloe asked. They had all but abandoned the idea of using any of the tools. Everyone shook their heads.

“Wait, don’t you have some special move that changes types depending on where you are?” Myra asked, directing her question at Hearth.

“The move is Hidden Power,” Hearth replied. “And I already tested it out. It’s a dark type move. Pretty useless for gardening.”

“Well we’re not going to get anything done if we just stand around talking,” Opal said impatiently. With this said, she walked over to an unoccupied section of soil and proceeded use her front leg to dig out a shallow bowl shaped hole. After about a half a minute she was finished. “It’s not very pretty,” she said, looking at her work as the others gathered around her. “But it’s better than nothing.”

The others followed her example. It didn’t take long for them to realize, though, that despite their efforts, they weren’t getting far, even with the four of them working at once. Looking back, there were some places where it was hard to tell the difference between the holes they had dug and their footprints. This clearly wasn’t working.

“Hey guys!” Anther said returning to them. “I’ve finished up on my end. How are things going over – here…” His voice trailed off when he arrived. Neither Hearth nor Opal were amused. Myra and Chloe both wore embarrassed grins.

“I think…” Chloe began. “This is not the job for us…”

I had the same problem with Myra in my entry lol

Though... I've had Chloe use her vines to use the tools around and plant.

Also, yikes! I haven't thought about Anther using his Nature power to dig! All this time I had him scrape the ground with his hoof, but of course, it wasn't as effective as using a proper tool.

Good going! ^^

Haha, yeah. They aren't really the best for this kind of work. xD (I still need to read your entry through when I have time~)

Unfortunately Chloe can't really use whines, since she doesn't know Vine Whip. In the first mission I did,I quickly realised how difficult everything must be for her without the ability to use vines.

It's understandable, since Nature Power doesn't turn into Dig in the games anyway. Anther just uses it more creatively then most Pokemon. (Opal has the move too, but I guess it never occurred to her that it could be used in such a way.)

Woops! Right... Chloe doesn't have Vine Whip Um... er... let's just assume that Chikoritas can use their vines without actually using 'Vine Whip'

Seems like Opal and Hearth will be the best of friends in no time!

Hehe, I'd say that Opal is just happy that there's a Pokemon with some sense around here. xD She's quite slow to consider anyone a friend. But we'll see!
