“Phew, finally, all the gifts are delivered!” Myra sighed.

The Spinda Café was full of Pokemon from all the different guilds. After they had come down, Chloe and Myra had searched down all the teams that they had wanted to give gifts to. Mike had also gotten his present. Everyone else had been easy find, but they hadn’t been able to locate Team Trample for a long while. Finally they spotted Hearth, who had come down to the Café without Anther. They had just given the present to Hearth, who had promised to share it with Anther. They had just found a free spot on the table where Team Duplex were about to open their present.

“Actually… I have a present for you too, Myra”, Chloe said. Myra looked so surprised that Chloe had to smile. She had probably forgotten that they could give gifts to each other, too. It was understandable; she had had a lot on her mind.

Chloe pulled out a bag that was hidden under the table and took an orange scarf out of it. “Your old one was torn in the battle against Shiv, so I thought you mind want to get a new one”, Chloe explained, “I didn’t want to change it too much though, since I know you liked the color. But I did let them add a little extra color to the sides.”

Myra seemed to be at loss of words. “Chloe, I… Wow, you shouldn’t have… Thank you!” she managed to say. “Oh, man… And my gift to you is nothing that special.”

Chloe looked in surprise when Myra took out a present from her wool. Myra had remembered! “Thank you so much!” Chloe said happily as she started to open her present.

Myra looked embarrassed when Chloe got the package open. “It’s just a bunch of berries. I, uh… had to buy it pretty hastily and I couldn’t…”

Chloe cut Myra off by shaking her head. “Don’t say that. You know that I love berries! And these are just my favorites! I couldn’t ask for a better gift” she grinned. And what was even more wonderful was that Myra had seemed to cheer up a little, Chloe thought to herself.

Like knowing Chloe’s thoughts, Myra suddenly changed the subject. “Chloe, I… I know I’ve been pretty down lately. I’m sorry. I probably made you worry”, she apologized. Chloe tried to say that it was fine, but Myra continued speaking. “Even if our mission ended up really painfully, I… I’m still really grateful that you let us take that mission. After all, I did get to meet Chill and see for myself how he was just like I had imagined him. Today, I realized that even though Chill isn’t the leader of the rescuers anymore, he will still always have a special place in my heart.”

“I’m sure that he would be glad to hear that”, Chloe said. Chloe was really proud of her partner. Myra had matured a lot.

They spent the evening getting to know other Rescue teams and surprisingly, receiving a few gifts of their own. Chloe couldn’t remember when she had last had so much fun. She hoped this would be only the first of the many gatherings that they would get to enjoy in the future.

And it's doooooone! \o/ I know the story ended a bit lamely, but I'm bad at writing endings and I really need to get to sleep soon. (Why do I end up staying up late in all my events/missions?)

In the beginning, I pictured the last picture to contain all my favorite teams... But I also wanted to draw all the guild leaders... and then I ran out of space. And time. ("space and time", heh he-/shot) So this picture features only some of my favorite teams! There's a lot more, believe me. I'm still really happy that I managed to make such a big group picture in a couple of days~ And look, I even learned how to draw realistic spruces!

(Now that I've read the first part of M5 prologue, I can't get out of my mind that in this picture PK is saying: "Shroomy, tonight, I'm going to kill them. Kill them all." And Shroomsworth is like "Yes, I'm sure you will. Hehe..." xD
