Zuko walks out just to see Katara sitting on the couch, both are blushing like crazy with eyes as wide as saucers, meanwhile Aang is right behind Katara about to go all Avatar state...

Don't we all miss Zukko, and the Gaang in general. At least I know I do, they were unforgettable and unreplacable. That's not to say the new characters aren't amazing as well but still, the originals will always have a special place in my heart <3

just recently finished watching avatar for second time and i definitely miss the old characters too. especially zuko in all his angsty, "i must regain my honour" glory
Plus, he was the best eye-candy of the entire show haha

I think I enjoyed the 1st time more, but the 2nd time was awesome in a different "nostalgic" kinda way ^^

I remember watching the finale in 5th grade, it was both beautiful and heartbreaking, one of my favorite series: over. But I agree, watching it again does bring that feeling, though now I also realize how I really do not tolerate the couples haha.

I was a huge Zutarian the 1st time I watched it so I really hated Kataang/Maiko,
but the 2nd time I realized they were each kinda awesome in their own way..
(but my god, Mike&Brian really played with the Zutarian's feelings..!
I never noticed how much they teased us.. the pirates, the cave, the azula fight.. they're just EVIL..!!)

Hahah I just feel like the Katara/Aang thing is just so wrong...Aang still looks like a child and it just didn't feel right, and frankly Katara was practically acting as his mother throughout the entire show—not saying I'm a big fan Zutara or anything, I mean I like the idea of fire and water clashing, but I've become more of a Toko fan, their personalities are just too adorable together. Anyway, the first time I watched it I felt the pairings were perfect, but that was way back in 5th grade, haha.
I know EXACTLY what you mean by Mike and Brian! re-watching the series made me notice all of these little Zutara things and all that, especially the Azula fight, that. was. EPIC. Even I had to fan girl over Zuko saving her.
I think the Makorra thing was for all those Zutarians too, what with water and fire. Honestly, I approve of this couple, they look amazing together (:
