It's been a while since I did not make a matte sci-fi scene and here is "The Terminal".This one is fully inspired by a French artist I discovered in the following book in french (sorry...): [link]
It's Paul Chadeisson I should credit him for the composition and the brushes he kindly shared, check out his website: [link]
Have a look at his gallery, it's really good.
Nevertheless, everything has been fully made by myself, no like for like elements. I added many things, details and textures.

an epic future image of huge proportions that left me speechless! the true -AW- that took my breath away. i never new something like this could even be drawn! the darkness of they sky as the planet moves in front of the sun, the spooky mist that coves the dark and vast city and the detail in the buildings, all beautifully done, one of the best work yet

Thanks for suggesting the site man, this one is so suffocatingly beautiful and realistic that it stops one's heart simply being immersed into that world. The lighting and the fog around the complex makes you feel like you're witnessing a moment in a colonized celestial planet.
