Description
The Lunar eclipse last night here on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It was a VERY cloudy night which ruined my idea of having a full start to finish of the eclipse but this is what I ended up with. This is my first ever attempt at a lunar eclipse. The first moon was taken at 10:30pm.
The second moon was taken at 11:20 pm
The third moon was taken at 12:00 am
The last moon was taken at 1:15am.
I used photoshop CS5 to stitch the photos together and added a small amount of contrast/brightness.
Equipment:
Pentax x90
Tripod
Photoshop CS5
Patience

I guess that the last part of the equipment was the most important.
The blood moon is my favourite.

Nice one mate! I think you nailed it I was hoping to get out and take a few pics myself but there were just too many clouds out and you just couldn't see much at all...It would have been great to see more of the eclipse in the photo but those clouds were relentless

I saw that eclipse. It really was quite cool; apparently there's another one coming in three years.

Very good quality, and [O O O O] composition is just perfect to show an eclipse.
Did you use photoshop to make photos so contrast?

This is amazing! It was too cloudy to see it at all where I was, so I'm really happy you posted this. Thank you.

Damn, I missed it! I was thinking all night "lunar eclipse, YAY!" (I love astronomy, and was planning to use a really good camera for some pics) but I slept right through it.

yeah, it did. Like around 6:00 AM MDT. I got a photo of it but then the clouds began to move it and all I could do was scream.
