Happy 8th Anniversary MLP !
It's been 8 years already? Wow... where has the time went? I remember seeing this show just like it was yesterday! My discovery with the show was quite interesting. My friend was actually the one who kept talking about it and I did not think too much of it at the time, and to be honest, I too felt it was a little strange. Luckily, one night I explored YouTube looking at some YouTube Poops of random things and came across one of My Little Pony. About a few minutes into it, I didn't know what to think, that is until I watched another and thought to myself... I really should just watch one of the latest episodes first and see how it is. Right then and there I decided to do just that and at the time it was Somepony To Watch Over Me. I was impressed at how touching that it really was, so much that it made me tear up at the end and therefore, I decided to watch every episode backwards... yes... backwards. XD
From that day on.. March of 2014, that was one surprising month for me as I became a brony and eventually joined Deviant Art! I love this show so much, and it's incredible to see how far it has come in 8 years!

Indeed, a very Happy Birthday to MLP:FiM. However, as much as I am a brony, it was also on October 10, 2010, that Discovery Kids (what Discovery Family was formerly called) came to an end. That was a terrible, tragic day, as that was my all-time favorite tv channel with all of my favorite but obscure e/i shows like Kenny the Shark, Tutenstein, Truth or Scare, Mystery Hunters and Real Kids, Real Adventures to name a few. At least DK lives on on youtube now, but how I do wish they would have still aired all those shows on Discovery Family.

I know how you feel. I felt the same way whenever The Hub Network left us in 2015. The Hub Network had so much more promotions than compared to Discovery Family because they actually cared more.

I think a new Equestria Girls movie would be nice for a change since its already been a few years since the last one.

I know that it took me until around Season Five to get into the show, but it was worth it. It was all thanks to a reactor (who has lost his account on Youtube) who was doing all of the MLP blind reactions to get me hooked. The episode that broke me was a Rainbow Dash one, 'Read It and Weep'.
Twilight, you need to rest. We can't have an accident happen because you didn't balance your sleep cycle.

Im really surprised the show came this far! Sure as hellt not a non welcome surprise. Though I guess the *ahem* “Abroad” audience really sent it sky rocketing! Just getting into the fandom my self, I love the show for a lot of reasons that can get way to “political” for this site. I suffered a lot in my early years, a total of 13 family members had died during 5 years. At that time if someone came up to me and said, “MLP could help you.” I’d probably say, “F@#$ off.” And then spin their jaw. But now that all of that’s behind me, and can look back on this show, and clap proudly for it’s victory. People who are public about being a brony, are the internet definition of fearless. I applaud people like you dude, keep up the work.

It really touches me to see how much it can help overcome many life issues and/or obstacles that get in the way.
I think this is one of the top reasons how the show maintains that popularity, because others express their own experiences about the show and in some cases... they have the same feeling about it. I am also so much more of a happier person after joining this wonderful fandom!

We've come so far. All of us have. Jeez.. when I think back on who I was when I initially started watching the show to who I am now..
Though My Little Pony may not have been the core reason for positive change in my life, it is something that I've kept in my heart,
And it has evolved with me. I'm glad to be part of such an amazing community. Thank you all for your works of art and other
contributions throughout the years.
Oh btw, SEQD, did you know there's a stream going on for 83 hours showing ALL MLP episodes up to the current one? It's set up from
the people on /mlp/ on 4chan. Think it will be finishing up Saturday morning, so there's plenty of time drop in on it! Wish I could stay off tomorrow
and watch the stream but sadly life calls.
