Ooooh, that's a gorgeous shade of blue, so pretty! Seems a bit dreamlike. I like how the car kinda intrudes on the green area of the photo, while that tree in the background pokes in to blue area.

I would have thought that it would be more rusty sitting by all of the salt water. The blue goes well with the sky and water!

I really like this shot
Is this an HDR shot? Or maybe some graduated ND filters were used? If it's HDR, this is a good example of how to do it right I don't like the HDR shots that look so surreal they're paintings. If you used a filter, then man, nice job with the exposure here.
My only critique is that I see some fringing around the tree on the left, which makes me think it's HDR. It's not too bad, but it feels a little too manipulated. The sky is noticeably lighter around the tree than on the right of the image.

Thanks Jon!
This is not a true HDR. I do not have a tripod so bracketing is really difficult (getting three shots that are identical free hand for me has always been a challenge.) I however do have Photomatix Pro (given to me a very long time ago) and i decided to start playing around with it again. So I've been playing around with single image HDR which i read about awhile ago. Its essentially Tone Mapping the image the way you would after compiling your bracketed photos.
I noticed the fringing around the bushes and trees but its hard to get around and still achieve the look i wanted for the rest of the photo so i made the sacrifice. I am however not abandoning this photo or the process as i intend to master it ... or something like that haha.

I see
I've read about one image HDR photos - where you take a RAW file and make a normal version, light version, and dark version, and then tone map those. Seems it worked pretty well here (nothing is blown out or lost in shadow), so it seems like a good technique. I think the main problem people run into when they do the tone mapping is the fringing highlights around dark things. It's hard to get that to look good. I normally take the normal image and then try to blend it back in around the fringing. It's hard, but it's usually worth it.
