Today was your first day of the new semester. As you walked in to school, you met your friends in the cafeteria. Once you get in there you hear some one calling your name. "_____!" It was your best friend Ashley. You and Ashley have been the best of friends ever since you moved here in 4th grade. At that time you were new to public schools and didn't know where you were going. You got really lost in the school, and happened to bump in to her and you both fell backwards. After the apologies she helped you find your classes since you two had the same classes at the same time. But that was 4th grade and now you two are sophomores in high school. "Hey!" You shout over at Ashley. You go over to where she was sitting and sit down next to her. You hug her, and she hugs you back.
"So how was your weekend ____?" Ashley asked
"Meh, it was ok. As boring as ever. I wish my life was a little more exciting though....." You reply stretching your arms across the table and yawning. Ashley sighed.
"______ , you say that every day."
"Only because nothing ever happens. I want something strange and exciting to happen!"
"Ok miss 'I want something strange and exciting to happen' what did you have in mind this time?" You can tell that she's teasing you a little but you don't really care
"Hummm..... I WANNA MEET AN ALIEN!" You shout giving your friend one of the goofiest grins you can. You both laugh until Ashley says,"Come on goofy lets go get our new schedules." You nod and you both get up and go to the tables that have the first letter of your last name on it. You tell the woman your name, she shuffles through some papers and hand you your new schedule. You give a simple "thank you" and step out of line to go meet up with Ashley again. You compare your schedule to hers hoping to have her in at least lunch or study hall. You sigh in relief seeing that she's in both your lunch and study hall. The five minute bell rings telling everyone that they have five minutes to get to class. You and Ashley say good bye and go your separate ways for now.

You run down the hallway trying not to be late to the first class of the day. When you turn the corner you accidentally ran into someone, causing them and yourself to fall.
"Ow!" you say as you start to sit up. You hear a low grumble and you noticed that you crashed into someone instead of something.
"Oh my god, I'm soo sorry!!!" You apologize, picking up the papers that the person must have dropped. You collected the papers in no time since there was only a few and you handed them back to the person you knocked over. You realized that that person was boy about your age. He had raven black hair that was a little messy; probably because you just knocked him over. And very pale skin. He wore a bright red turtle neck sweater. You don't remember ever seeing him before. The boy took the papers back that you were handing him, then stood up. You followed his lead and stood up as well. Once again you apologized to the boy saying that you were really sorry but you had to get to class before you were late. You ran off to your class again and made it just in time; as soon as you got in the room the bell rang and you took your seat.
