!~CHECK OUT THE YOUTUBE PAINTING VIDEO~!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
YES! YOU READ IT RIGHT! I FINALLY GOT TO RECORD/EDIT/N' UPLOAD A PAINTING VID, HD N' ALL~
You have no idea how long it took... Seriosuly... I've tried to edit this three times now... First two times the damn program crashed WHEN I WAS FINISHED AND DIDN'T HAVE BACKUP SAVE >:U
There's a total of ~2 hours of raw painting video files, but also... I had to "empty" the memory card after every ~20min. So I could easily say, the painting with drying time took ~4 hours. And then the editing took ~3 hours, saving ~5 hours, uploading ~5 hours...
BUT who cares, right?
So yeah... Please don't skip everything. Too much time went into it, just that you could see at least one of my illustraitons painting progress... :I
Some of you have asked before how I paint or what did I exactly do with white acrylic or what do I mean by "second lineart"...
So... Click the link and ya'll see.

This is very creative. Is it a watercolor? Or mixed media?

Did ya watch the vid?
Basically mixed media- mostly watercolor, marker lineart and a bit of white acrylic to fade the lines at the bg. ^^

This was amazing! <3 Even after watching the entire video, I don't get how you managed to get all of those colours, shades and depth... Β You surely are incredibly skilled with watercolours, and very patient too!
Thanks for taking the time to record this, it's very interesting to see how other people work... ^^

Welp... It's the layers.
The many, many endless layers... ._.
I kind of over did it tho... :I Most of the colours just look too dull now... Or well, just overpainted. :I
But welcome~

Hehuhemm... I wouldn't exactly say this is the level of a beginner tho.
But sure, yes, it can always be better, it can always be improved and it will always take years for that.
But a beginner? What?... What would that make you, if the beginner is the lowest there can be? :/
If it was a fanart of a random anime chick or picture of a pony in watercolours, it would be the work of a pro for you, huh?

I believe I smell a troll!
Never mind. Your work is incredible and I enjoy seeing every new work of yours that comes through my message center improving upon the last (though I rarely comment). This one more than a bit beyond my skills to critique.
Thank you for the video! It was very informative. It looks like you started with dry paper, laid down color washes, and then added more color and detail while still wet from the first color wash? What pen did you use for the lineart? I've tried a couple before (wish I could remember the brands) and they've always bled.

Indeed...
Better stop dragging it.... -.-
But thank you~ c:
Yep, exactly. ^^ My basic steps are all there. And usually I work on one layer for so long, that when I get to the second covering layer, then the paper is usually dry there. xD
Β I use black UniPin Pens for the lineart. ^^
(For the first time, I mentioned all the brands of the materials at the youtube comments. :D)
