Meet Simon! Simon is 13 years old and is incredibly bright, considering what he knows and is able to put together. What you see in his hand is a dart gun he designed from a steel pipe. He also made the tranquilizer darts that are used as ammunition. No one knows how is able to find the materials or knowledge on how to put his creations together.

Simon is also very interested in philosophy and has a growing gift of empathy. He is a diplomat for King Roland, ruler of the land of Arturius. His way with words, innocent charm, and genuine kindness allows him to be an effective negotiator. Simon also struggles with separation anxiety as well as post-traumatic stress, having nearly been crushed to death by a boulder at the age of 8. Thus, he is terrified of anything that could fall on top of him and worries himself sick about his parents being gone for so long, and if they're okay. When he sees someone clearly upset or tormented in some way, he tries to help, because he doesn't like seeing anyone suffer more than he has.

Miranda once described him as a mix of sad and sweet, and is incredibly brave despite his trauma. Simon is great at making friends and allies and no matter where he is or where he goes, he actually keeps a notepad and a pencil with him to keep track of the favors he does for people in exchange for their help. Simon loves cold weather is also able to withstand temperatures as low as -42 degrees Fahrenheit and appears totally comfortable doing that...no one can explain that, either.
