it is since the crew really do love tmnt like from referencing the first movie line where splinter tell's the origin and mikey interrupting them (rise of the turtles)and referencing from the first issue of the last fight with shredder (the gauntlet) and pigeon pete (also the gauntlet) from what's good for michelangelo and in the recent interview from 2 months ago ciro nieli said he is going to have mutagen man in the second season with a big role and the nick turtles meeting the old turtles like turtles forever except with the whole original cast returning.

i think they won't but i'm happy how well the show is,yeah it does have problems here and there but that's pretty much how all action/adventure shows are in their first season also the editor of the 2nd season said no venus de milo (if you know who she is good but if not then she is the so call "5th" turtle in next mutation)

yeah i agree the cgi is kinda grading but too me the show shines with the good story and great character interactions mostly with the turtles and splinter also i noticed that splinter 2k12 seems to be a homage to 1987 splinter he's brown and he wears a red robe except 2k12 splinter is 7 ft tall where 1987 splinter is 4 ft tall

yeah heck i don't know why people complained about the designs of the turtles and changes when i first saw them i was like cool since i'm used to different designs if they're close to what they always been even in the comics they have different artist and they manage to make them look like what they are with some changes here and there,also i'm hoping tmnt 2012 has an episode based off the archie comics since ciro drew a redesign of wingnut and screwloose you can check it on google they look awesome.

Yeah, I've noticed. But due to the way it was drawn, it still looked frumpy from a distance.

If you say so. She's just not really that great in my opinion. Live-action movie April would have to be my favorite.
