Makes me think of that old movie "the red balloon" or whatever that was called...... I like how simple the concept is and the overuse of negative space, it gives the feeling of lonliness to it.

On a more serious note, it's a very well executed piece of art, very slick and not at all fussy.

Glad you got a DD, but I must admit.. I'm not too impressed. It's an average vector... not bad, but not exceptionally good either. And I think the Background is too big... I think it takes away from the boy. I wouldn't have nominated it as a DD, personally, but o well.

Personally, I prefer the original image. It has a nicer background, and everything that's good about this pic -- colour, composition, subject, etc. -- is inherent to the original photograph, and not exactly enhanced here.
However, a nice gallery in general.
