Description In which our hero is staked out for the unusually large desert ants (a photoshop brush supplied by Mjag with free licensing, for which I give props and thanks).  These are the only postwork.

Features Flipmode's Eternal Sands, which I have used ever so often and will continue to use because it's just that flexible, and a mixture of RawArt and SimonWM's vein products, ditto.

They'll enter your head by your years & nose and then start eating your brains first.

Would have stripped him completely to his skin and covered him with honey or butter.  Heck, forget the ants...I'll just eat him.

I'd love for it to be me chained down like that (without the loincloth) and my body covered everywhere (especially soles of my feet, armpits, navel, genitalia and anus) with honey, syrup, or anything that'd attract the insects.  Never thought about butter.  That might work well too!

how did you made the ants - with shadows! ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SickleYield In reply to Catweazle01 [2014-05-24 18:02:15 +0000 UTC]

I used to add the ants themselves on a separate layer in the GIMP.  Then I ran the GIMP's Drop Shadow script on that layer to produce their shadow.  It lets you put in X and Y for the shadow's length and direction, so I could cast their shadows away from the camera and in the direction that made sense with the scene's lights.  I'm sure other image editors probably have a similar feature, or something fancier.  I just love the GIMP and it's always worked for me, so I keep using it.

Yeh, but I can't be showing side-glimpses of penis in a DAZ render, they'd reject it.   Nice work though.  Very perilous.  What cobras are they?

Catweazle01 In reply to SickleYield [2014-05-24 21:46:16 +0000 UTC]

there are no "side-glimpses". That is a problem with the loin-clothes. The main thing is invisible here.

Sure! *Tosses blond man*

You may want to brush off the ants.  He seems upset about that.

Very nice - but what are they fastened to? Some rock under the sand?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SickleYield In reply to Nick-Tower [2014-05-12 17:49:11 +0000 UTC]

Presumably they're part of larger chunks of iron that are underground, or bolted to a full-size poured slab.  Given there's enough structure to have full bolts and chains there must be some kind of substructure.  It'd have to be a ceremonial area, not an impromptu "we caught an enemy out here let's torture him" scenario.
