Description
Now in testing at Daz3d.Β This set contains a chest towel and turban prop for Genesis 8 Female (shown), a waist towel for Genesis 8 Male, and a prop towel with 15 poses to go with it and several morphs of its own. There are existing towel sets for Genesis 8 Female, but none of them both have male support and combine dForce with multiple poses, so I thought it was worth it; and in addition, one of my earliest projects at Daz3d was a towel set I did with Marieah for Genesis, and I have some nostalgia for it.
The textures on this are just taken from photos of a towel I own with a noise map added to the displacement.Β There's a no-displacement normal-map-only option for those who can't render this much displacement on their machines, but it doesn't look nearly so comfy.
Rendered in Daz Studio 4.11 Beta with Iray, postwork for compositing canvases only.

Great job! I just wish, you can use them with G3 as well

Looks pretty cool. It might need some zbrushing to clean it a bit, but that's fine.

so the prop towel can be used independently?Β as in, if I wanted to drape the cloth over my arm and 'sim' it would that work?
excellent scene, btw.Β Β tell her not to cry, it will be ok

It will! In fact, it has a "smaller fold in half" type morph for uses like that.

Prop towel with 15 poses
Oh, are they anything like Oskarssons Wrapped/Again or Halycones Bather poses?
Those are neat, and convert quite well to later figures but it'd be nice to have a few more.

Not really familiar (Generation 4 sets?) but maybe?Β With this one the Wearables are intended to be able to be simmed with dForce, they're not entirely static.

Sorry, yes, Gen-4 sets (Renderosity) - figure poses with accompanying towel pose.

Similar concept, but I was unaware of those. I was actually thinking of an early project I did myself:

Ah, yes, I gathered that when you mentioned one of your first Genesis Towel products - I have that too. Can never have enough towels -

Isn't bad either, but a little too 'pin-up pose' and not enough functional towel use.

How are sales for products like this going for G8? I'm sure it takes longer, but I love when content is released and works for both G8/G3. I have been a very active (probably too active) purchaser of G3 items and invested too much to change over to G8. I don't imagine I'm alone.

My other clothing sets for G8, the Fantasy Wear Megapack and Roman dForce sets, both had mediocre intros but performed very well out of the catalog (a typical result with larger sets of all kinds now).Β Adding G3 support for full clothing is just not something I'm ever planning to do again.Β It adds too much time, both procedurally and in testing.Β The hair and skin people have it much easier when it comes to backconversion, which is why you see more hair and skin sets that support G3.

I use a LOT of your water effects, DAZ wouldn't be the same without em
