Description Yeah I know I said I didnΒ΄t want to render spheres anymore.
But I was checking out Mograph 2 and I really liked this.

Arranged with Mograph 2.0, rendered in Cinema 4D.
I used absorbtion for the material and no reflection channel. I only used the fresnel reflection of the transparency channel.
I recommend to do that, because it maintains the correct amount of fresnel reflection when you change the nd (index of refraction). If you donΒ΄t want the material to be transparent, just set absorption to black and 0.001 meters.
(I hope, in R12 there will be the possibility to set an IOR for reflection, too. And setting IOR within the fresnel shader node would be great, too... Did you hear that, Maxon?)

Postproduction:

I rendered the image as a tonemap (HDR).
You can load any HDR in Maxwell Render and add some cool camera dispersion effects with SimuLens.

I hope you like it.

pretty cool - spheres always work well - -
haven't had a play with 3D for a while now -- too busy with work, must take the time next weekend - -

Very cool, i like it! Just one question: which maxwell render engine is compatible with c4d 11.5?

The c4d-Maxwell 2 plugin only works with c4d 11.
C4d 11.5 has a new plugin system, that doesnΒ΄t support all old plugins. But donΒ΄t worry. I found a solution:

You can use the old plugin from version 1.7 to export your scene. But you can convert the scene to Maxwell 2 with Maxwell Sudio 2.
Note: In C4D, create the Scene with normal C4D materials. So you maintain the right UVW data for any textures. In Maxwell Studio you have to recreate the Materials but you cannot edit UVW in Maxwell.
In C4D 11.5 you cannot create Maxwell materials. Seems to be a bug. But thatΒ΄s no problem, as you see.
