Description
Modeling Eve was a logic consequence after watching Wall-E.Her design is so simple to recreate.
Have to give her fingers, gun and some textures.
Creating Wall-E will be much more difficult. I think I gonna have to become inventive for his curb chains.
What do you say?
Modeling time: 10 minutes
Render time: 10 minutes

Looks good!
Yeah, subsurface in C4D doesn't work all that well. You may use FinalRender to get it done without adding way too much time to the render.

Thank you!
I tried final render some time ago. SSS was really quick compared to maxwell. but maxwell looks better.
Nevertheless I think the material on Eve turns out well even without sss.

Well, never used Maxwell, so i cant compare.
Tho ur right, it DOES look good even without the sss!!

Thank you!
If you have a fast system like i7 or XEON, you should have a look at it. Maxwell renders always photorealistic.
A lot of physically correct material presets. Cool HDR environmentmaps.
Camera produces depth of field blur and motionblur by shutter and diaphragm settings realisticly. Takes a little practice.
very good manuals included and very good plugins for 3d-softwares.
I used final render before and I really liked the node based material editor but the gi-settings are way to complicated plus glowing texture samples donΒ΄t get refracted or reflected correctly. Spectral dispersion (rainbow effects like diamond material) is way too complicated too create (in maxwell itΒ΄s just activating it as a function ).
The last reason was that you canΒ΄t pause or resume rendering.
I also like maxwells method of rendering. You see a very good preview of the whole thing while itΒ΄s rendering. It starts grainy and becomes more detailled every sample level.
It just goes on shooting more and more samples into the scene until you like the result and press "stop".
So thereΒ΄s no more GI setting trouble ever again. There are only two render settings: maximal rendertime and maximal sample level.
Most realistic. suggest you to type "maxwell render" in google picture search to convince yourself.

Just a suggestion:
You can get it here for free. But you need a torrent client software like BitTorrent or Β΅Torrent to load it:

Looks great. The texture are maybe not spot-on, but that's easy to change.
I think you'll get some problems making her hands... They change all the time! Goes from finger to gun in no time!

Making (modeling ) the fingers will be easy. The change to the gun will be more tricky. I think, I have to watch the movie another few times to study that.

there are some sketchup models floating around that you might be able to use as a base...

I saw some. But they are quite lo-poly. I want to make a hi-poly model. I found some good reference on google picture search. I have to create it from the start. Thank you, nevertheless.

Sadly, subsurface scattering is either crappy (c4d), or takes years to render (maxwell)...
In the movie, Eve seems to be translucent a little bit.
