Description
Created with MoGraph 2 in C4D.The Field of Tiles is arranged with a cloner object in "grid array" mode.
Of course it has a rigid body tag for the dynamics.
In the last tab "force", there´s an entry named "follow animation". It maintains the clones to stay in the position, you define them. Otherwise, they would fall down or float away on collision.
The Spheres are also from a cloner object. I used a random effector to give them various sizes.
You can adjust the mass and density of the balls. When they are too light, they don´t push the tiles too much. When they´re too heavy, they crash through them.
I suggest you to assign a mograph cache tag to the cloner and bake the animation before rendering.
When you create large amounts of clones, you should activate "render as instances" to keep the rendertime short.

Your work is quite impressive, especially the animations. I actually like this one better than Disturbed Hierarchy Loop b/c of the use of physics and the object interactions.
All that nice work and render time... I think you're losing detail to the limitations of the GIF format. Tell me, have you heard of APNG? [[link] ] Might give you a little more trouble to assemble, but you get 24-bit color and 8-bit transparency as opposed to GIF's 256 colors and on/off transparency.

Is it heavy? Gravity ain't worth talking about unless it's heavy!

Thanks again. Did not expect so much positive reactions on rendering spheres again
