Description
This is the winning piece for my 80,000 pageview contest. The winner, got to choose what horror movie fanart I would draw next and he chose CANDYMAN. A good pick!I love having these contests because it forces me to draw things I wouldn't normally draw, although I keep it in the horror fan-art genre so I have fun and keep the theme consistent.
I'll probably do something different for the next contest though just to change things up.

Hands down, one of my favorite villains in a sense because he's one of the few who had somewhat of a reason to do what he did.

The Candyman was an artist and the son of somewhat wealthy black inventor. The logical tale would of occurred shortly after slavery was abolished. The son was commissioned by a wealthy white landowner to paint his daughter. The daughter and the artist fell in love. When the father discovered the truth, he and a posse hunted down the artist. They cut off his right hand with a rusty saw and jammed a hook into the stump as torture. They then hung him from a tree, near a large bees' nest, poured honey on his wounds and disturbed the nest. The bees stung him to death... The artist's hatred and rage brought him back as the Candyman.
The first movie is great and worth watching. There are three in total and the final two are really only worth watching because they do a decent job of really creating a mythical monster and adding to background story of who the Candyman was... Though I must admit, I did not mind the third movie at all.
