I love how you portrayed this story in just one illustration. The evil eye, the hidden body and I love the colors as well. My name is Jen and I am doing a research paper about twisted characters and one of the stories I am using is "The Tell-Tale Heart". I am doing a powerpoint presentation and wish to use this Illustration in the powerpoint as well as in a poster. May I have your permission to use your picture? I will of coarse credit you in both the powerpoint and poster.

Hello my name is Hyphen. I was wondering if I may use the picture you had uploaded "TELL-TALE HEART by Hartman" for my next dramatic reading of Edgar Allan Poe's, "The Tell-Tale Heart". Your picture will be linked in the description and credited. If you have any additional question, don't hesitate to ask. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks
H.D. Hyphen

How are the readings used. For video? Or a live performance? A flyer or backdrop? I think it will be ok but need a little more detail before I agree.

I do video. First I do practice recordings to get the feeling and mood that I want, then I record. After the recording, I begin putting the video together. So the pictures are used more as a background. I can link you to my other videos to give you a clue of what I do. But I am also adding atmosphere music and sounds to my videos to have something else outside of just images and my voice.

From Wikiqoute
Edgar Allan Poe: The Tell-Tale Heart (1843)
"Villains!" I shrieked, "dissemble no more! I admit the deed! — tear up the planks! — here, here! — it is the beating of his hideous heart!"

Is that the story where the man kills his wife and puts her in the floor? There are so many Poe stories that i can not remember them all

no, its about this man who kills his master because he has a 'vulture eye' and puts him under the floorboards, but he keeps hearing the beating of the mans heart, causing him to go insane. this is proabably my favorite EAP story!

I love [link] !
And gosh was I delighted to find that Fanart.
I'm not so happy with Digital Art, because the glorious effect of the blues and red would have also been made with trad. media, but okay...have to go with the time
As I said, I love the colourscheme!

really like the color on this. You've used simple lines but you've made it look so powerful with the shadows, color, and lighting. Nice work

Nice composition. This really shows off the strengths of your illustration style and your ability to render spooky subject matter even when the horror is not cranked up to 11.
