Another sketchbook drawing I threw some color on. commented about doing another scarecrow piece so I sketched one up real quick. I'm not sure if it is any more traditional than other ones I've drawn but this is what came out when pen went to paper. I kind of like the colors on this. It was originally more sepia colored but that seems to be the constant color theme with scarecrows so I tried something a little different and gave it a more purplish/blue feel to it. I also like the coat texture, I had a coat like that in high school.Related content

Ah, yes, my dream lover. I believe that mentioning for the 100th time how much I like your raspy style won't do much, but yeah, it's great. Beside that, your inking style is simply wonderful and a pure pleasure for my tastes.

I gotta say after looking at most of your stuff that you're really good with compositions. It's that I feel you're very economical with the details, as in there isn't too much or too little stuffs in your picture, and things feel just right. And I also feel your colors blend very well. It's something I can't do.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I used to put a lot of detail into every aspect and it just made the picture muddy and nothing would pop out. So now I just try and put details into the parts that count and let the rest be minimalistic. Or at least I try to.
