Land ho!

My submission to NATG XI: Day 12! Today's prompt being "Draw a pony visiting a strange new land / Draw a pony visiting where no pony has gone before." Whew, and with a high effort one this time It's funny, I went from having no idea what I was going to draw 2 or 3 hours ago, to perhaps doing the most high effort drawing I've done this NATG so far xD But "New Land" stuck out to me with reference to a beautiful pixel game I love called Kingdom and its sequel Kingdom: New Lands. When you escape an island in Kingdom: New Lands you get this little cutscene where your monarch is riding a boat off to the next new land. So naturally I have Twilight as the queen off to her new land

Had a lot of fun doing this one! And I always love getting to do a bit of pixel art. And can be quite difficult a medium, but it comes with both its challenges and also aspects that make drawing easier too. It's a nice trade off I enjoy especially with the nice pixel aesthetic you get in the end So yeah, super happy with this one Definitely would've loved to have a bit more time to give a bit more attention to details and such: the boat in the game as a bit more parts to it and usually a few of your troops on it, so it could've been interesting to maybe draw some other ponies. But yeah, it soon becomes way too much effort for an NATG, unless I already had the high motivation to do so. So I'm happy just leaving it a bit more simple
