Description I had this photo of two tulips sitting on my harddrive, ready for submisson, for quite some time now. But I wasn't, and I am still not entirely sure if I like it. I thought I would be able to decide this after I've had time to get accustomed to its style. But that doesn't seem to happen. I'm as unsure about this picture, as I was right after it was taken. So what. Here it is, for you to decide if it is hot or not.

Amazing photo. The center of the tulip draws you in, but the clarity of the veining on those 2 red petal is pure art!

Haha, no. No kidding. I tried to push the depth of field right to the base of the flower. It didn't work out as I intended, but I like this shot because of the composition.

I think its funky cuz the focus isn't on the middle part which it usually is. its good.

I think the beauty of this pic is that you didn't boringly focus on the inside of the tulip, but on the edge of the petals. And they are very bright with beautiful detail.
I like this Maybe it's the title that doesn't fit then, but it's ok ^_^

Thank you very much for the detailed comment. I'm glad you like the tulips. The fact, that the depth of field doesn't reach to the base of the tulip, is what bugged me most. Well, I'm still learning.

I think that's exactly what makes it original and interesting, but I understand why you might be bugged by this result if what you had in mind was a different photo
