I recall the Greeks had the Fates, and many scholars see them as cognates of the Norns. Of course, most of the religions of pre-christian Europe shared similar Gods and Goddesses, which only makes sense given the Indo-European sources of our languages, cultural influences, and Gods.

Hi there! I run an editing company called Three Fates Editing, and I was wondering if I could use this image to create a logo for my site? Thanks so much for your time, and I completely understand if the answer is no.

Hi! Β I'm doing a talk for a conference of web development people and making the point about how we can hold people fate in our hands by weaving bad experiences into important websites. Wondering if I can use your beautiful drawing of UrΓ°ur, VerΓ°andi and Skuld?

Yes sometimes i did'nt really know what to name the title of my works, so in this case i think the title from the amon amarth song was a good choice

Very nice and original concept, and I love the active roll in which you have them depicted as actively working on the strands of fate.

Thanks alot
It was a illustration job for a heathen group called Harreskovens blotgilde. in Denmark. They want to make a plate they could give as a present to the baptized children in the northen mythology religion.

I'm of that religion as well, which is how I stumbled across your art in the first place. I periodically go digging through DA for new Norse art.
I must say, that's an absolutely appropriate theme for that sort of use.

I'm over in the U.S., Texas specifically. I'm currently trying to save up some money to do a trip to Iceland next year with a friend. I'd also love to some day get a chance to save up and go see Germany, Scandinavia, Norway, Denmark, England... as well as Japan and a few other brief side trips in other parts of Europe (mainly for the museums).
Oh I forgot to mention in my other reply about Norse artwork, I do have a photo up of the oathring I made for my kindred: [link]
