"Sometimes life falls liquid from the clouds above, and seeps through my fingers..."This is for 's contest on the theme of rain ^_^ fav.me/d66dxkh For some reason I always end up finishing my contest entries just before the deadline -_- (mostly due to lots and lots and lots of last minute tiny changes though). I have no idea what this precise species of hydrangea is called, but it actually exists ^^ We have a pot in our living room right now. Seil again, because she fits the theme ^_^ Not room to fit in her rainbirds though this time...

Beautiful, really beautiful.
You just have this mastery of the paint that is in all respects perfect, I love the bleeding of the blue background, the delicacy of the paint on the flowers, and the way you painted the leaves.
Seil herself is great, even if she's only a small portion of the image there is so much detail on her it's amazing.
I really have missed looking at your art, it's always so wonderful *A*

Woah, I kind of gave up water colours in favour of acrylics!
I love thicker paints because I can really lay down the colours and create texture
I don't think I'd do much fan art like that though... I have an image planned, but I need to get round to getting a canvas, since paper just doesn't work for me when it comes to acrylic.
But just as a note of warning, I'm changing accounts now! I'm a bit sad to leave all my current followers, but hopefully they'll follow me to my new account

J'aime bien ta manière de faire des gouttes et puis le contour des feuilles et du personnage avec un peu de blanc. Comment as-tu procédé si c'est pas indiscret ?

Arf j'en avais un y'a longtemps de ces stylos... Mais j'en trouve plus facilement. Du moins pas dans les magasins de dessins spécialisés, je sais pas.

Thank you so much ^^ I did a lot of experimenting with watercolours this time ^^ Usually I don't have much time on my hands so I stick to techniques I am familiar with, but since I am on holidays and can wait for the layers of paint to dry, I can do more stuff ^^ The clouds come from sprinkling salt on wet paint. Actually, I added water on the salt afterwards too, so it dissolved and recrystallized. It doesn't show on the scan, but there are flat slat crystals on the sky part, and they reflect the light ^^ I had lots of fun painting the hydrangeas, and designing the dress ^^
