Description
This is what I have so far of Project Horizons. As you can see, I expect to need a lot of space for the Core, but there's nothing to put there yet. I don't have a solid idea of where everything is in the southwest sector, and nothing at all east of the river since I have no idea where they came up the elevator after... well, you know. Updates as things progress.Related content

That is an excellent question. I'll probably go back and reread to find all the mentioned locations once the story is complete.

I love this map and wish it could be expanded upon. The fic is finished and features several new locations. It's a shame the account is inactive though. We may never see it finished.Β

I'm not going to finish it, no. There's just too much to comb through at this point, and knowing now that there aren't many sites of interest in the core or East of the east bank of the river, I would change the whole layout.

I think I have a few more points to add for this map to be more accurate:
Chapter 36: βThen count yourself lucky. Heβs following the road rather than going strictly in order,β Dealer didnβt take his eyes off mine as he asked, βBut where is he going when heβs done in Flank?"
"He's going to Chapel, P-21! After Flank, he's going to Chapel!"
-Thus I think the road in the conjectural area after Brimstone's fall should loop back towards Chapel, and Flank is actually between Hippocampus Spark Station.
About the Great Eastern Unknown:
"We reached a major road that came out of the Core; another four-lane highway that cut straight as an arrow⦠due east"
- There should therefore be a road to the east, with the Fallen Arch community there on the bridge over the river.
Oh, and to give you a useful tidbit about where the hoofington tunnels come out: When the leave the tunnels on the east side, they start going north, and quickly get to Fallen Arch. Thus the tunnels are somewhere between the bottom edge of the Reservoir, and east of the center of The Core. (I'll try to pinpoint the position as acurately as I can when I have the time).
I know there's a lot more information about the Great Eastern Unknown in the chapters after the hoofington tunnels, when they come out on the east side, but it will take a bit of time to find the locations of the places relative to each other, like Flash Industries and the places between it and the Iron Mare Navel Station.
When I have the time (when I'm done with midterms, would you like me to try to find more of all these points? I should probably be able to skim the majority of the chapters in a few hours to add a lot more accuracy to this map.
Aside from what can be added, this is a really awesome map! It must have taken a considerable amount of time to get to this point and make almost everything in their correct relative positions! Great job!

Regarding Flank: The line that Hippocampus is on is indeed the road from Flank to Chapel. The highway does loop back, and Flank should be farther east -- I haven't discussed that area's layout with the writing staff yet.
I'm not sure which tunnel you're talking about. The one that lead into the Necropolis comes out in the vicinity of the Collegium, which is roughly straight east of the Core. The one where they had the running fight with the Ultra Sentinel goes roughly southwest from Hippocampus, since it had stops for the MASEBS and Miramare, among others. There are tunnels going in and out everywhere around the Core.
It would be helpful if you have the time, but I'd like you to note how certain the locations are. For instance, the location of the Arena is very solid, being right next to one of the bridges into the Core. The location of Paradise is a very vague "somewhere over there".

Not really... this is all based on "halfway between this and that" kind of measurements. I think Somber or O. Hinds would be better qualified to answer this. If I had to take a guess, it took them three hours to cross half a grid square with P-21 limping. If we assume that's half speed, then it's 3 hours afoot per square, which comes out to maybe... 6 miles per square, assuming they prefer a pace of 2 mph? There's not a lot of info to go on. Personally, I perfer to leave distances vague -- it gives the author more latitude.
