so my astronomy teacher had us invent an alien species + planet and i was immediately throttled by my muse. i was glad to see them, since they've been hiding under my bed for the past few weeks and refuse to get out, but i was also hit really hard by a wave of inspiration and also possibly overdosing on medication. i don't really remember making most of this but it's here and you can look at it.

anyway, new open species, merfalania, merkit, or "mermaids". they live on Nalu, a water planet with only one small landmass, and are an intelligent species who are experts in (obviously underwater) robotics and aquaculture. two mercountries are advanced enough to send robots into space, the riba and the psari, but other countries are on their way. there's two moons and lots of different tides and at highest tide the landmass is almost completely covered by water. i'll keep you posted.
