She looks like a Norn from the Creatures games. ^_^
I like the way that the cross between a jungle and a beach came out; it looks as though she's just stepped out of the jungle and is gazing out at the beach. I enjoy the overall mood of the pic.

Interesting placement if the wings... x.o
Heh, otherwise I think it's great! Normally I don't like anthro pics, I even hate my own (of course, all my art sux) but this is great ^^ Keep up that good work. Meanwhile...
I'll have to add you to my deviantwatch

You know, on normal occasions I don't enjoy anthro art as much as anime, but your art tends to exceed the normal expectations I like the way you created the grass, it looks very well done. The only thing i'd recommend is maybe working on the leaves a tad more, they seem to be brushed out a bit quickly compared to the rest of the piece
But still, amazing job *silentkitty

Love the detaiol of the subject
The background is great for this piece - great sence of depth and place
Brilliant work
I think that the lighting and colours used are perfect for this piece - don't change a thing

Excellent detail on this. You've really worked hard on it, and it doesn't go unnoticed. I like the beach scene better than a jungle. You are right, it would have been too crowded with the amount of detail. Good job!

It seems like a storm's approaching, and she's looking at the sea with apprehension...then I spied the stars. Hmph, so much for that impression. I really love the rendering in this one, especially how soft the hair looks, and don't have nothing much to offer when it comes to crit save for (her) right leg adjustment...? Because from this angle, I don't think it'd disappear entirely behind the other leg. But this is so pretty.

this is good. I think the landscape and the person (thing, I do not realy know what it is) is wounderfull
to the constructive critisism: the knees is a litle bit thin, and because of that, the tigh gets a wierd form.

I like the texture on the trees, the girl, antro girl is nicely formed and design with furs and spots. The flow on her skirt is a nice, add an idea that the place is windy, nice clam ocean wind in the afternoon. Looks like she is looking at something, at invaders?

damn, that's a smooth piece. the only thing that bothers me is the right leg. just doesn't seem to fit into the space right. love all of the texture in the hair great choice of colors. i notice a scarceness of ur palette...i have that same problem. i'm trying to get over it by adding more analogous colors to give it a rounder feel. great character design kitty...i'm curious to see the comic that u're working on.

What a freaky looking creature :-P
I love the upper body and head. The mane is gorgeous and unique
The only part that bothers me about her is the leg/foot (which I love btw - very much like an animal). Is she supposed to only have one leg? It looks like a one legged animal, but it's so not the norm, that I can't tell clearly.
Other than that - cool piece. It's not really my thing too much...I like more life to my art, and this...hmm...the colors just bring me down. Greys and browns and dull greens.
Clearly talented.

If I should name one artist who has developed the most during the last few months, I'd vote for you. I have never seen that beautiful and detailed surroundings in your works before, and I think I neither have seen in any other's work. The tree trunks are very impressive among the leaves and grass.
However, I don't really like the character, or should I say I don't like the way it looks. It's just my personal opinion though, perhaps I've got used to cute art, or maybe I'm just a fond of beautiness. Apart from the lower hip (which looks a little odd) I can't find almost any technical faults from that character.
One improvement that comes to my mind is straightening the horizon and seperating it from the sea more clearly. And there is a one thing that actually disturbs me, you can't see how the grass changes into shore. I can see this was meant to be a jungle scene, because in that case it wouldn't be a problem. I know it doesn't help you, but in my opinion it needs more empty space.

This has to be the best I've seen from you (at least in a long time). The detail, scene composition, colors, the shape of the clouds, the grass in the sand, the trees, the character itself, all is superbly done...
Hmm... hard to say something constructive here... maybe 5 more minutes work on the ocean? (thinner lines out in the water)

Impressive. I really like the fact that you take as much care on the bg as you do on the character, those trees and the grass are fantastic. I'm trying hard to find something to pick at, but I honestly can't! Good for you!

Do you use the chep-o grass brush in photoshop? That's my most favorite brush in the whooooole world! Or.. so you use photoshop..? I'm glad you made it a beach scene instead of a jungle, I agree it would have been mega crowded. You drew a good butt~!

I wish my crap could look as good as your thumbnail. I think my favorite parts are the grass and the upper part of the sky. You put a lot of detail in the grass and I like the way I'm tricked into thinking there's more detail than what you actually made (looking at it again I noticed that you didn't actually paint every blade of grass, just enough to make most viewers think you did). I also like the wispy clouds at the top and the few stars that have just started to show, which gives the picture a very peaceful atmosphere and helps place the time of day (and explain why the lighting seems dim, since it's evening). I think the part I'm not fully convinced on is the larger chunky clouds. They don't seem as real as the rest of the picture does and just a few of the shadows seem a bit random. For example: in between her hair and the right tree, there's three cloud bumps which kind of form a V, the middle one (just to the left of the point on the V) has a little shadow right in the middle of the bump as well a one below it. That, and other similar shadows, seem to be causing it to lose some of it's form and chunkyness. The colors are working great together. Hmmm... I just noticed the horizon line seems to be leaning down to the left a little. I've been wanting to make a digital painting like this for a while, I've got a good start on it, but I've been too busy lately...

Anatomy thing has been covered basically, 'cause there is no way the other leg could hide so much behind the front one unless it was tiny. XP
So has the water and sky thing, but I'll go one further than that and say the transition from the sand to the water to the sky is all blended togheter too much. For the sky to the water, having a darker sky color overall may seperate it better. The sand to the water, maybe have the water have some more white in it, kind of like waves.
Finally, what's the thing near her ass? The cloth thingy? I don't know... just doesn't seem like it should be there. Kind of distracting for me with no real purpose.
On a aside note, your trees grow really weird. Nice piece.

Okay, this piece is wonderful, and very beautiful. I get a nice sense of peace and serenity from it, and for some reason, a little sad.
The picture has goregeous and beautiful detail, you don't rush any bit of the piece.
People have already mentioned the legs not aligning right. I think this is cause all you see is the foot of the other leg it looks like. I think you should have shown a little more around towards her buttocks. And the bend on the left leg, well, it's off cause you may not have wanted the shaded bits you did on the knee, you make it look more like it is turning more sideways, and it should not show as much as you did *you could have just been fine using the side of the leg*
The water also blends a little too much with the sky almost. You may have wanted to deepen those colors a bit, and since it is almost night time, you could even have some purple in them.
That is all, beautiful piece, I really can't find much wrong with it
Keep up the good work okay.

Very good. Lighting, color, etc is great. But i'm only bothered about the legs.
*only read the first part of your description, so don't mind me*
It seems that there is no structure around the knees, making it look like her legs can't physically hold her. Was this based on an animal? Then i'll shut up
Good job!

i might be completely off on this but it looks like her right leg is a bit distorted...as though we should be seeing a bit of her knee stick out from behind the other leg but we aren't...or perhaps her trunk is twisted a bit awkwardly to the left, depending on how you were trying to set her up...i'm really waaaayyyy out of my league to be critiqueing this anyway so I think I'll just shut up and go with the standard "I really like this! looks great!! lol!" response...

as you like constructive criticism ill give it a shot -
1) the hand that we can see looks a bit disproportioned - the closest finger looks too big to me...
2) from a purely biological point of view - why does she have wings next to her a$$ ? i mean they are normally around the shoulders so you get the best lift...
just my 2cents tho...

the middle of a jungle, but the more I stared at the sketch, the more I realised it was INCREDIBLY crowded. So it somehow turned into a beach scene, lol.
That's interesting how that all turned out.
I mean, if I just lookd at the bottom portion... I'd probably be like, "Hey! That's a jungle!" and stuff. But, heh, when I would look up I'd be like, "Oh! A... jungle beach hybrid? That's strange!"
I like it -- and those who don't view FULL VIEW... are missing out on the great detail that you chug out on your work.
