Description I find that line (title) in the musical somewhat ironic, considering that that’s actually what she becomes in real life.

I drew this in the half-hour I had left after one of the exams I wrote this semester. Hence the lines on the paper and the scribbles in the background. Anyway, the basic idea is an older Christine, now married to Raoul and the Vicomtess de Chagny, pondering her life, and perhaps thinking what it might have been like, had she chosen differently all those years ago…

To anyone sensing déjà vu [link] -- rightly so!

When I was at camp, there was this lone spider in the corner of my cabin right above my head while I was sleeping. Wasn't poisonous from what I could gather, and although it was alive, it practically never moved. I didn't kill it! YES!

Anyway this is beautiful and i love it because Christine looks very original!!

Haha, Kay's gettin' to ya! I must confess I've done that as well, though.

Thanks.

Oh I haven't killed spiders after reading that book. THAT much stuck with me. De nada!

Although I must say I’ve always thought he was a bit irritating for that - I mean, he doesn’t blink an eye when he kills people, but gets all emo when Christine wants a spider squished? Hypocrisy much!

Oh, and, I wonder if it’s ever occurred to him that the reason most people fear spiders is not because they’re ugly, but rather because they’re potentially lethal.

Boom!

I think he was caught in the moment, thinking that the spider symbolized him or something... *shrug* I had to re-read that section to understand what he "got" that I didn't.

BOOM! You are so correct!

True, that. Also, I’m sure habitual morphine use can’t be very good for your reality perception, so I guess that explains a bit…

Such grace, again, you have her profile quite realistically done, rather Scandinavian yet Grecian at the same time. The folds in dress and the wisps in the hair are stunning aw well.
It would definitely behoove me to inform Countess de Chagny of her utter and terminal stupidity of rejecting the tragic Erik.

Thanks for the lovely comment. Glad you liked the hair - I had a lot of fun drawing that bit.

Oh, we all know that!

Olivia, it is my most honor to comment on your stunning work.
Yes, hair is my favorite feature to draw also.

Yes, Christine, the epitome of feminine stupidity...

Aww, she's not stupid, she's just young and naive and has bad influences in her life (like a rather silly father, and that Swedish sort-of mother of hers whose name currently eludes me - especially her!) who stuffed her head full of nonsense.

Personally, I think what she needed most was a jolly good sit down and chat with someone sensible.

Yes, if only her parents were sound and wise, rather tough jaded people, like mine!
To fill a child's mind with moonshine is the most injury a parents can do to the child!
It would behoove her to have chat with sensible one like your great Sophie-God bless that woman! God bless!- and I to administrated the old-fashioned Appalachian frying on her witless head!

lovely work as allways silhouette and christine's expression is wonderfull- you really manage to portray her anguish at wondering about the path not chosen, now she's stuck with the floppy haired idiot.

i got obsessed first time i saw the movie, i love the songs and those costumes.... wow. Have to say that that i like Madame Giry and Carlotta better than Christine and Raol though, their characterizations so much more interesting, plus carlotta's clothes are made of sparkly win.
