Description
This pic dedicated to who needs a laugh about now.You know how the saying goes: “You’re only jealous because the voices speak to me and not to you.”? Yeah, well…
The idea hit me a few days ago in lectures (if you look closely I think you can still see the notes I drew this on the back of), and it’s supposed to be a follow up/sister piece/alternate ending/whatever to [link]
Just looking at the two drawings side-by-side now… my gosh, how things have changed! I actually feel seriously ashamed looking at my old cartoons now. Oh well, we live and learn and that’s a good thing.
(And once again, a day late for April Fools - what is wrong with me?)

Goodness! Please strike me! Why did this not arrive in inbox?!?!?!
God bless you, dear sister, for dedicating this superbly hilarious drawing to me. Indeed, a laugh would do a world of good to me.
Again, as you struggle to articulate admiration for my backgrounds, here I am dealt the same dilemma with the expressions, hair textures and dimensions!
I can see you have chosen the film as basis for the depictions of both Christine and Meg, and Meg's eyes are exactly as Ellison's eyes were!
Christine has quite a sharp wit, your version is the best, as opposed to the mousy portrayals.

Oh, think nothing of it - DA glitches every now and again, as we now well know.
I'm very pleased you like it. Well, I do suppose we've all got to be good at something - still, I don't think I'll ever be any good at backgrounds; I'm just far too lazy and impatient for that sort of thing.
Thank you for your lovely comment. As always.

Ah, yes these glitches are bothersome, but one why bemoan such a superb site such as this?
Well, you certainly draw far better hair than I can! I do not think it is laziness or impatience, we all have fortes in art! And your anatomy is excellent, I truly think you are far the better artist than I could be.
You are welcome, I can only give constructive comments, and esp to you, dearest sister.
P.S. Have just seen two episodes of N&S, and Mr Thorton is quite alluring by his cold steel persona.

True. It says something for the awesome of DevArt if I still think it's the best site I know despite these irksome little glitches.
That's good to hear! Still, though, I will always wish I could sit still long enough to pull off a decent background, but the main problem is I'm always too scared I'll ruin a good picture by adding a rubbish background.
Oooh, I love N&S!! I think I've said this plenty of times before, but it really is like P&P with added IQ points and realism. Tell me what you think when you're done - I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

devART is a wondrous world in of itself, to be able to communicate with artists worldwide, to be open, to express oneself with such liberty, to learn of art, to create art, to join groups of one's myriad interests, to participator in convivial contests, to learn and be enlightened by other master artists, to make dear, blessed friend, the list of good DA has done in life could stretch to the ceiling.
Without DA, I would be friendless and life would be quite drab and shallow.
Your portraits are of such a high caliber, backgrounds would only mar the beauty and master talent of your work.
Yes, as much as I am the stout Austenite, I do find N&S more realistic and compelling, for some reason, I see it as Beauty and the Beast type of work, Margret's obstinacy and compassion changes or rather brings forth the goodness that Thorton has, but is reluctant to show. Thorton! I could dedicate a paean to him!!! He is a true gentleman. He reminds me exceedingly of my male protagonists...what think you?

Then again, he speaks to Meg's mother, so that's sort of an indirect way of speaking to Meg.

True, true, but then again, at least Meg doesnt get voice coaching from the disembodied voice in her dressing room that claims to be her dead father. Somehow I don't think Mme. Giry would fall for that as easily as Chris did.

No, I don't think so either. And yet there is still an AntoinettexErik shipping. Go figure.

I know. I was just looking at it before I posted this and... oh wow... they make me feel so bad. But then again, I guess to have come from that to this in a year is a good thing. Hopefully next April Fools will see me even better. ^^,
Thanks! Why yes, yes I am jealous. Why, Christine, why? Now you're just rubbing it in. *sulks*

Haha, totally LOVE it! Especially the expression on Meg's face. And the dresses are awesome. And the hair. Well, everything, really, but especially those. And Meg's expression. Yeah. AWESOME!

Thank you, glad you like it so much. I did enjoy drawing Meg's 'Geez, girl.' expression, though I must say, I enjoyed drawing the hair more. For some arb reason, I love drawing hair. ^^,
