Description She looks a little nervous! Being stuck in sinky, slimy quicksand can do that to a person...

Sorry for my absence, I've been busy, and when I draw, my art hasn't been coming out very good. But I'll get better!

Love that look in her eye! And don't sell yourself short. Your art is always awesome!

Thanks for encouragement!

Fun fact: when artists draw pictures (digitally) they are often "blind" to the flaws in the picture, until they flip the picture horizontally. I actually was kinda rushing and forgot to do a flip test on this picture. Oh well, no need to check it now that it's out in the wild!

Actually I guess traditional, non-digital artists can check for flaws by looking at their work in a mirror.

This one came out really good. The pose, expression, and depth make for a really good piece.

Oh, yes, this has "Whoops" written all over it!

I like that you provide more "top clothing" to your damsels while providing them less to wear below.  In this case, a short-sleeve blouse with, what, perhaps short shorts, cutoffs, or bikini briefs to show off her legs?  Very nice!  Plus, her facial expression and the sweat on her face says it all...  she's been struggling hard and getting nowhere but down...  down deeper into the mud.

And, I concur with the observations of others here...  that mud has such a nice, thick, heavy look as if it's been allowed to sit there and dry a bit to get even thicker and more clinging...  kind of like a mud flat at low tide that's been exposed to the hot summer sun for a while.  In fact, she does appear to be stuck and sinking into a tidal flat.

Most outstanding!

Thanks for sharing!

Silky silt-mire, smooth, ponderously undulating and roiled by her struggle!  Very expressive broad and contrasting strokes, to a great extent -as ikibosan observed- 'nailed it'.  Welcome back and have fun with your resumption!  The grace in much of your expressive technique has become 'Silky'..... like you 'know it'!

Verily!! I have returnded to the artland! The background is kind of abstract short-cut as usual. Well sometimes you gotta choose part of the picture to focus on

Haha... I wish all puddles made stickymud like this!

I don't like to talk about my life too much but I figured it's time to write another Journal so I did (just now).
