Description
((I'm not sure yet if this is the end version of the picture, but for the moment it is...)):3
Illustration of a scene of Noah of Destiny chapter 24. Ellen has another emotional moment and whose fault is it? Of course, Kanda's again *lol* But at least he's there to comfort her. Well done, Kanda. X3
Regarding Ellen's NoD uniform I decided to make some slight alterations - I took away the frills and gave her new shoes. Kanda's uniform is also slightly changed, but one can't see that here :3
I don't know why but everytime I draw NoD!Kanda it is with his hair down, he simply looks better that way >3<
The crappy destroyed church background didn't turn out that well because I simply have no patience at all when it comes to backgrounds...! Grr. But I guess it's a small progress *lol*
D.Gray-Man belongs to Katsura Hoshino
"Noah of Destiny" is written by me :3

this is ... more then just beautiful ...
it must be you best work yet!
a few slight errors and perspective work could use a bit of polishing, but all in all, this is one splendid piece for work!

Wow! I really want to read chapter 24!
It looks like such an interesting scene! I want to know what happened to Ellen to make her cry like that.
It is also nice to see Kanda trying to support her.
I like the changes made to Ellen's uniform. I'm not much of a fan of frills, and knowing Ellen is in her 50s, frills do not seem appropriate.
besides, frills always seemed to be for young girls and come off innocent. I don't think it would belong on an exorcist's uniform (unless the Order's design team have weird tastes)

I am nearly finished, I need to write another scene then I'll proof-read it. And then it's ready for uploading.
Well, if Kanda's the one who makes her feel uncomfortable by his constant prying then it's only right that he will support her. I do not really know if I like the scene I've written because Ellen is getting more and more "emotional" (compared to the earlier chapters) - but maybe that's necessary now because I should finally start the second part of the story (the one with all the answers and the action *lol*)
I do like frills and laces, but I also thought that maybe they do not fit Ellen. Even though she looks like a girl, she doesn't behave like one and doesn't need to dress like it either. I admit that I first wanted Ellen to look cute and innocenct, but it somehow does not match her character traits...
Well, I do think that the design team has weird tastes! Look at the shortness of Linali's skirt for example! *lol*

I think it is a natural progression fir Ellen to get more emotional. Though I do like it when she is cool, calm, and in control. I really like confident and self-assured female characters. But Kanda is bringing up her past in a wya she is not comfortable confronting. Especially with all the pain in her life. As well, Ellen has been using more of her Innocence (part of her human aspect) and has been neglecting her Noah side.
I don't think frills suit Ellen either. She is a bot of a tragic figure. Making her look cute and innocent would make a large gap between what she looks like and who she really is (which can also be an effective writing tool). But I prefer Ellen wearing more simple clothes.
Well, the length of her skirt in not historically accurate, but it is more practical than fighting in a long skirt.

It's also because Ellen reveals more and more to Kanda (mostly because he keeps asking about it) and while some things are unproblematic to reveal others aren't. She is, after all, still a girl at heart from time to time and Kanda seems to be really keen on seeing as much of human!Ellen as he can (because she is the only one he really feels comfortable with).
What you said (using Innocence and neglecting her Noah part) is exactly what I say in the next chapter *lol* at least I am making myself understood, that's a good sign X3
And short skirts are always fanservice. I have nothing against short skirts or exorcist uniforms getting destroyed to reveal Kanda's bare chest

I agree with goldflower to some extent, this pic really looks somewhat advanced compared to many of our other pictures. It's probably because both characters are in a pose (normally you often do "frontalansichten" which have the air of posing for a photograph or something) and also portray a mood and a story behind it. So the pic says/brings across more than your pics normally do (no offence to your other pictures). Also the first thing I noticed was the BG because I know your "twisted" relationship with that topic*lol* So this one really marks some progress*applause* *g*

That's exactly what I thought as well - my pictures tend to look... generic. Which often reflects my mood of "I'm bored, I'm unispired, but I'll draw anyway". But I agree, there is something behind the picture, I am happy that this was apparent :3 :3 :3
BG, don't talk to me about it! I hate backgrounds! Let me just put some flat colour on it and be done with it *lol* I tried this time but there are still so many things wrong with it! Grr. I ran out of patience even though I had great ambitions, but I am happy that it appears better than my other stuff does.
*bows* thank you thank you. I appreciate applause! *clown*

Thanks a lot!
Maybe it seems that way because it has a background XD Hihi.
But everytime I look at it I see new mistakes, it's far from being perfect >3<
