'Twas drawn during my exam week... I wanted to practise colouring pictures with watercolours (after several years of not painting). You can see a whole lot of mistakes, especially at Yuli's wings and Smile's hair. -_-; The background didn't come out like how I wanted it to though... wanted to do something grundge-like but I didn't know how to. Araraa. But overall, I'm quite happy with it. xD+ Mechanical pencil, ink pens, colour pencils & watercolours

I really do love your take on Deuil. It's always an enjoyable thing to see(I'm familiar with your Yuli's from your doujin ^^)...because I am so very familiar with the characters~ It's a very bold move to have the most popular member not facing his adoring fans though xD I have never seen that done before! ...at least, at the moment I can't remember a time when I have. Usually it's like, Yuli right in the forefront, other members, notsomuch. If you ask me, he looks just as good behind as he does in front though
I'm babbling, so... finish up by saying the coloring throughout looks excellent, really smooth~ And so do the folds done in clothing, and the shading on Smile's bandages...! I admire how it all looks~

Yes, that is exactly why I drew this Deuil pic like that XDXD Almost every single fanart I saw on the internet had Yuli as the focus point and Smile and Ash are just somewhere in the picture (which is kinda sad..). I've never saw a fanart of Yuli that showed him from the back either, that's why. Most of them were just focusing on how bishie he is from the front view and so on (which gets kinda boring after awhile..)

I really, really love this :0 I think you did an amazing job with the watercolours considering you haven't used them for a very long time. I honestly didn't notice those mistakes until you pointed them out ^_^;
I love the composition and the colours you've chosen, it does give a slightly dark and grungy effect, and it's very stylish.
Watercolours suit your style very well, you should definitely use them more :0

This looks so... angsty. Mmmmmm. And the colouring is spiffy, like something you see on a manga cover, maybe cause the texture looks copic-ish. The BGs looks pretty great to me

Ooh, angsty? XD Thank you! I did use a Copic marker fyi, just a grey one. And I learnt something... Copic markers resist everything. Water, watercolours.. you name it. Except inks. @_@
