Description
Alessandro XVIIIth from Trinity Blood.I wanted to draw him alone, and feeling quite blue, or blank. I think his being a Pope at.. whatever age he is (I don't think he's any older than 17 though..) puts a lot of pressure on the poor guy, what with Francesco and Caterina being the real force behind him and having different ideals most of the time. And he's always unsure of what to do (hence the title)
Drew his anime version, because I don't have any colour references of him from the TB novels... T^T And the BG is the weirdest thing ever. Couldn't think of anything else to do.. so I whipped out some crayons and went crazy with them XD;

we have monks who refuse to shave thier head, about 21 years old, carries guns, smokes cigarettes, drinks alcohol, gambles, swears like nobodys buisness and doesnt believe in gods.
I say that a pope at 17 years old in animes can be considered not too bad.
anyway, the youngest pope was 12 years old (more or less), so i think this guy got off lightly.

Actually, crayola pencils are the EASIEST to blend to me. 0_0 I hate the colour pencils by a local company (Faber Castell), which apparently has the best affordable colour pencils in the market here and I've seen people do wonders with those, but I can't seem to freaking blend colours nicely with them...grr. Hehe, thanks! I always like shading the hair

Haha, neat. I just did my first colored pencil drawing in ages, with my Prismas, and man...it reminded me why I don't use colored pencils XD Prismas tend to get sort of oily and shiny if you use them too hard.
haha well at least the last pope got to fly around places and watch breakdancers XD Maybe if he got bored he could watch an exorcism or two (I just learned that the Vatican has its own official Exorcist, and he keeps busy!)

The colouring's gorgeous, but his expression doesn't look too pensive - I think it's due to his eyes and mouth. Relaxing the face muscles (half-lidding the eyes and a smaller mouth) might help.
I like the folds lots. ^^

Ooh ~ interesting XD If I'm not wrong Allesandro is 15.... or maybe I got the timeline a lil screwed +_+ He looks more like he's focusing on something on the screen or thinking deeply about something tho but i still like his facial expressionXD been some time since I've seen you use real media.
haha... Allesandro from the manga and the novel (especially the novel X_X) has a VERY COMPLEX and CONFUSING costume design so I guess its best if you didn't have to draw it first cause well I see cosplayers wear the costumes and its enough to scare the heck out of me yet alone draw it +_+

It's always good not to forget about the trads. X3 It's with those you really can show your skills as an artist. I urge you to keep up with them as much as you can. Especially when you do have the talent and skills for it.
