led by the mighty Majesty - his fathers research and experiments into a possible psycho kinetic evolution for humanity (dubbed the CROWN effect) led to Majesty developing a personal psycho kinetic 'unified' field, which grants him superhuman strength, flight and invulnerability.

Spitfire - A nuclear physicist by trade, he found himself experimenting with a perpetual energy engine of his own devising, but a chance miscalculation resulted in a blast that destroyed his lab but left him remarkably unharmed - over the next few weeks he documented his condition and realized that he was gradually become a being of pure nuclear fire - building himself a Containment suit to protect others from his power he now serves with the Royal Guard in hopes of one day finding a cure - and to use his considerable power to help where-ever and whoever he can.

The Hood - recruited and trained by a shadowy government organisation known as Sherwood, The Hood was groomed to become their latest and greatest operative - remade into a deadly marksman and hand to hand combatant, skilled in espionage and wetworks and given The Hood identity to identify with the public image of a roguish hero-of-the-people. Wielding a bow as a primary weapon to also feed into the public image, The Hood is both loved by the people and feared by his enemies

Celtica - In ancient Scotland, when the land was still plagued by the horrors of not only romes invasion but of more primal, supernatural threats a druidoc council conspired to transform a young warrior into a being of living enchanted stone, her mind and soul transformed into indestructible gems anointing an equally tough body. When her people thought her needed no longer she submitted her gems to enter the long sleep until needed again - well, that time is now, and Celtica serves proudly with her teammates

Bulldog - born poor on a council estate in Manchester, Michael Arthur was small, but scrappy - he never backed down from a fight and he never walked away from trouble - he wasn't a good student but excelled athletically, though it wasn't until he left school and was involved in a car accident that he was diagnosed with Howletts Immunity Disorder - a rare genetic condition that grants hyper-accelerated healing and near peak human conditioning without the need to exercise - he was quickly recruited into the Royal Guard training program where his perseverance more than his powers earned him a spot on the big team as the tenacious Bulldog - he now serves proudly and faces off against any foe to prove himself the big dog about town

Var Val Schard Talonis - known to the British people as Dragonshard - hailing from the mystic otherworld realm of Avalon, Var is prince by right of power and combat - as a prince of Avalon he serves as a protector of the realm - during the Guards' first battle with Merlin, Var joined their ranks and became the earthly ambassador of his homeland. He chooses a more human form than his native dragon body to try and ease peoples fear of him, a fear well founded - as a master of the burning path (a dragonian martial art) Var possesses incredible strength, speed, invulnerability and mastery of fire - it takes a rare power to want to openly challenge him

Cry - little is known about Cry, she first appeared during a mission her teammates Bulldog and Hood were on to shut down a superhuman weapons program, she impressed them both enough that convinced the brass to audition her for the team - an audition which she easily passed. While her main offensive power is her incredible sonic scream, her entire body is biologically augmented to handed the forces she creates, giving her enhanced strength and physical abilities that complement her more acrobatic nature

Shift - "the golden guardsman" known as Shift is a sentient nano-machine colony with a population of 85 trillion, each both an independent entity and active member of their society - noone, not even they - know where they came from, their memory starts in a flash of light when they appeared by a roadside outside Cardiff, where an elderly couple took them in and offered shelter- able to restructure their colony shape to suit any purpose, they have dedicated themselves to the cause of protecting the species who showed them kindness against any threat, while searching for the truth of their origins

together, the Royal Guard will take on any foe that threaten the innocent people of the United Kingdom - and the world!
