4 (but not all) supergroups from my personal continuity - Startin at the top -Royal Guard - the UK's government sponsored meta-defence team, left to right - Hood, Bulldog, Spitfire, Majesty, Celtica,Cry, the dragon Talonis, Shift
Liberty Force - the USA's premiere supergroup, left to right - The Fullmetal Man, Tyde, Citizen 51, Mr American, Meteora, Captain Thunderbolt, Pyra, Liberty Maiden
The Pantheon - the worlds most famous super team, the most powerful meta-group known, left to right - Collision, Redline, Aura, Engine, Jonathan Silver, Violet, Erebus
The Guild - the worlds first 'real' supergroup, operating in secret and shown here in their prime during the 1930's, left to right - Automan, Lioness, Captain Cockroach, The Utopian, Spectra, Particle Man, Motionman
just fancied doodlin' somethin' to get a break from DnR, n its nice for me to see the teams all together for if I ever get my Silverback Comic started, as all these guys would make an appearance at some point, hahah

Just the sort of lineups I enjoy reading and seeing, teams that look like they get along, and aren't always fighting among themselves.
I like your idea of the older supergroup, the Guild. My group has members (or not) in several eras like 1860s, 1930s-1960s, and a current version with hopefully legacy characters.

glad ye like 'em, ive got heroes who're from earlier times than the Guild but i wanted them to be my sort've first established supergroup, working in secret in days before superhumans were really public - the idea that even today "the guild' is thought of as a sort of urban legends in the supracommunity.
