a closer look at my team from the 1930's - a group of heroes who came together and protected the world in secret from threats from beyond.

The Automan - originally created as a weapon of death by the deranged Dr Homunculus, the Automan developed his own sentience and empathy for life and decided to fight injustice using his metal body and machine guns.
The Lioness - a mystic warrior woman from the wilds of the dark continent, wielding her predatory magic to protect her people from any threat they may face.
Captain Cockroach - an industrial accident left business tycoon and genius Jake Benson immune to all known diseases, so he employed his newfound hardiness adventuring around the globe and fighting the good fight, taking
his moniker from a recurring joke about him being harder to kill than his namesake.
The Utopian - flung back through time from where humanity had achieved a long lasting peaceful society, The Utopian found himself incredibly strong, impervious to harm and able to dilate time to move at incredible speed,
horrified by the violent and heartless people he encountered in the past the Utopian set out to educate and inspire people as self help guru and philosopher Wesley Winslow, and in secret used his powers to
save lives.
Spectra - a violent vigilante who uses her ability to phase through solid matter in her ongoing war on crime. Elizabeth Irons lost her socialite parents in a mob shooting which drove her to her violent path - but she always puts
saving lives above taking them, honouring her parents memory - and the origin of her powers remains a mystery.
Particle Man - Milton Littlewood was always considered a mediocre scientist, and always held a resentment that he didnt garner higher esteem from his peers in the scientific community, when one of his experiments was
sabotaged it was thought that Littlewood died - but infact he gained fabulous powers, able to shrink down to particulate size, or absorb particles into himself to increase his strength and project energy blasts,
powers he used to avenge himself upon those who sabotaged his work
The Man of Motion - former race car driver Ray Diaz was granted superhuman speed after testing an experimental fuel type in his car, causing it to explode and absorb into his skin - Diaz dedicated himself to saving lives and
punching mooks for the kicks.

in my Macroverse continuity, these guys are kind've thought of as a myth amongst the superhero community - the first team who saved the world in secret before humanity as a whole had ever accepted that superhumanity and costumed heroes ever existed.
