Description
Well it still needs a lot of work.I printed this out so I could have it in my hands to asses the joints etc. the doll is about 10cm tall, the model made by: [link] and used with permission.
I need to figure out how I'm going to do the head attachment. Either put a head cap in so I can work an s hook, or build in a loop or something.
The ball joints are not working. I tried to keep the model pure without changing but I think I will build in ball joints especially the back rump joint.
I do like how I made the hoofs swivel so that they can point with them like in the show.
As to copyright, I'm still investigating, if anyone can point me to some legitimate info let me know. I will not be doing the hair and tails of any cannon characters, and the base pony is just that, base, so I'm hoping that as other people make plushies of actual character dolls and sell them, that these Littling ponies will be okay. I do not want to infringe on hasbro, just hoping to let creativity and fun fly.

That pony is the old design, please check out the newer one in my gallery. To answer your question, it is a ball jointed doll, clear beading cord is strung through the joints and parts.

not slenderman or mane or whatever, that is how they are in the show. Not a big fan of horror....

Did you model this in parts and just print it out with a 3D printer? It looks fantastic

I used an existing model (link in description of who made that)and modified it. I could have made the model myself too, but it was already there and a nice one so.....

Blank would be the norm, I will offer a add on pack to do the color and wig etc. I haven't decided on a price yet, but 100$ at the very Very most.

This is adorable and I would absolutely buy one without much thought.
As for the legalities, the only issue I forsee is the shape being used. You may want to tweak the design a little as part of what makes MLP:FM identifiable is the unusually large head to body ratio and general proportioning. Looking at this body, it is very akin to the figures currently on the market.
It's all kind of grey area, though. So long as you aren't making any of their characters(and just making bases to customize, or original designs) you should be fine.

I have to admit with people making MLP custom plushies I do not see what the harm is, even more so if you keep it to custom commission only.
AND I want one T.T

It also makes me think of all the other art of ponies that gets sold. I mean I picked up a non licensed DR. Whooves shirt from hot topic the other day. If hot topic don't have much of a care it should be all right for you.

And it also means I can get a custom paint job of the old pony I had as a child. sobs forever in a corner like a creeper.
