Aubrey slowly looks around the first floor of the home. She makes sure that Mr. Manfred remains in front of her the entire time. Only seeing the back of his head, she can’t see that he winces every time her heels clack on the hardwood floors. It’s almost as if it pains him.

She searches looking for any detail of the missing woman. She doesn’t notice anything that would indicate that a woman has been here at all, let alone living here. And where was Louise anyhow? The grocery store excuse sounds totally bogus. There is something not right about this place. An odd, foreboding feeling comes over her, but she tries to push it out of her mind. They get to the dining room.

“Detective. Please take a close look at the painting on the wall. I’m told that if you stare at it enough, it will reveal to you what you want to know the most.”

“That’s preposterous. But it is a beautiful painting.”

The feeling of foreboding is washed away as she glances at the painting. She is mesmerized and draws herself in for a closer look, taking her watchful eye off Ryker. She doesn’t notice him slip behind her and slowly creep toward a panel on the wall. The panel has a red button and a green button.

“I don’t see anything yet. I want to know. I HAVE TO KNOW! Are you sure?”

“Quite sure.”

Ryker pushes the green button.
