Biography: The lord of chaos and the gentle mare, Fluttershy, were the closest pair out of the mane 6. Throughout the time they spent together they had very few hardships and always overcame them with their strong friendship. Over a few years Discord began to see Fluttershy differently, not as a sister, nor a friend, he thought of her everyday and realised that he, the most powerful being in Equestria, had fallen in love with a gentle Pegasus.
As he had never felt this way about another before, he had no way of expressing how he felt without feeling awkward. One day, he took a quick trip to the Crystal Empire in an attempt to understand how he felt. The princess of love, Cadence, explained to him what she had felt for Shining Armor, the fact that he loved somepony surprised him. Soon after the discussion, Discord departed and returned to Ponyville where Fluttershy had eagerly been waiting his return, she ran up and, without hesitation, Discord expressed how he felt and Fluttershy merely nodded before accepting him. The two began dating then he finally proposed, shortly before the wedding, Fluttershy fell pregnant and the pair were ecstatic, little did they know, after the wedding the cries of a single foal were heard, the other was... Still and oddly quiet. The doctor explained that the colt wasn't breathing when he was born, the mother was devastated and took comfort in Discord and her friend, Twilight.
Discord could not stand the pain which he felt and, sadly, parted ways with Fluttershy. Fauna was taken and given to Twilight as Fluttershy could not bear the thought of the twins. She was raised as if she was Twilight's own daughter and is very close to her.
