This had so many alternate titles, all of which I realized were either song titles of or lyrics to Mushroomhead songs.

This is so beautiful and so sad... you manage to create such awesome atmospheres in your pictures. I totally love the background, and of course, the poor little creatures. Your anatomy and facial expression skills are so damn good!
I'm sorry in case I didn't research enough... but is there a bigger story behind this? If yes, I'd LOVE to know about it.

Indeed there is. I don't have much of their story posted anywhere, so there's not much research to be done x3 Another picture of them, with a little bit of a backround can be seen here: [link] (for some reason the lower half isn't showing up for me... it used to D: ) I hope to reveal a little more about them later, when I get time to illustate a few more images from their story I have in my head. :3
